Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to find, check and order the right part, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced for websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Pages use real headings, labels and landmarks; every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link; text and form fields meet AA color-contrast ratios; menus and dialogs keep keyboard focus and close with Escape; error messages are announced to screen readers; and motion is reduced when your device asks for it.
We test with automated tools and by hand with a keyboard and screen readers, and we check new pages as we build them.
Known limitations
Delivery maps on tracking pages are visual; the same information (status, delivery window and address) is always given in text on the page.
Card payments are handled by Stripe and some orders are placed through eBay; those pages are provided by those companies and follow their own accessibility programs.
Some product photos come from suppliers. The part name, part number and fitment are always given in text.
Need help or found a problem?
If any part of the site is hard to use, we'll help you find and order the part another way — by phone, text or email — at the same price. Call or text (786) 841-8497 or email service@independenceparts.com.
Please tell us the page address and what happened. We respond within 2 business days and treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.
